I feel like calling up Yo, Is This Racist? about people being surprised when rappers don't look like rappers. Because if you aren't familiar with up-and-comer Jonwayne, he doesn't fit the typecast.
The California rapper will be releasing a collaborative effort alongside Scoop DeVille, which includes the soul-crusher "The Come Up Pt. 1." The verses launch out and grab your throat while the molten soul samples ebb effortlessly through, making the hype fairly deserved.
Jonwayne and DeVille's Rap Album One will be released October 29 on Stones Throw.
