For their forthcoming album Dunes, Santa Barbara, CA natives Gardens & Villa hit up the Mid-West alongside DFA collaborative producer Tim Goldsworthy for an unruly winter of recording. During the band's time, the five members stayed locked in (only leaving the studio a reported five times), keying in on an expanding array of influences for sophomore release.
Eventually, as you can see in the trailer, the band embarked into the wilds of Michigan. What came of those tempered moments in the unfamiliar wild are distinctly contrasting vibes for the LP (Mid-West native Prince and Depeche Mode comparisons are tossed around, just to give you an idea). Dunes is set for release February 4 on Secretly Canadian.
