Stream: Thee Oh Sees - Singles Collection Volume Three

Since last August, Thee Oh Sees have been amassing even more material in its already endless catalog with the Singles Collection series. Parts one and two are available courtesy of Last.FM, and now we get the third installment, available in full below.

The ten-track collection features several off-hand singles, including the band's tracks from the two split 7" singles with Ty Segall. As well, the explosive and confidingly excellent "Devil Again" from the Adult Swim Garage Swim compilation can also be found in the collection. Check it out before the official November 26 release on John Dwyer's Castle Face imprint and get another heaping mound of evidence of why Thee Oh Sees are one of the best acts out there.

Captain Murphy - Between Villains (ft. Viktor Vaughn, Earl Sweatshirt, and Thunrdercat)

Next Monday, August 19, the Adult Swim Singles Series will feature the insane collaborative effort of Captain Murphy, aka Flying Lotus.

Featured on "Between Villains" will be an unreal trio, including DOOM's separate moniker Viktor Vaughn, along with Earl Sweatshirt, and Brainfeeder fellow Thundercat. With a lead in like that, its not that hard of a sell. Head over to Pitchfork to stream the effort before the full release.

Flying Lotus and Thundercat debut new 'Aqua TV Show Show' theme

Fans of Adult Swim's original Aqua Teen Hunger Force will note that the show's title has changed multiple times over the years. And with another season on the way, the show has changed it up again to the brand new Aqua TV Show Show, enlisting the help of former collaborators Flying Lotus and Thundercat for the new smoother, jazz-inspired theme. The biggest shame here is that it doesn't run any longer than 45 seconds. There's gotta be an extended version somewhere.

New Dan Deacon video - USA

It almost being the 4th of July and all, Dan Deacon (along with Adult Swim) has brought out his massive "USA" video project. The 22-minute piece, directed by Dave Hughes, ties in the four song middle of Deacon's America with an ultra iconic super-American montage; complete with animals, nature scenery, and classic balls-to-wall tripping visuals.

This extra Death Grips cut from last spring's The Money Store comes to us courtesy of Adult Swim, as an added bonus to their 2012 Singles Program. It's an earlier predecessor to their next album, which should be out soon in case you forgot. Check it out below.

Friday Bears: EL-P - Rush Over BKLYN

Recognize the title? If you do, you may recall El-P's "Drones Over Brooklyn," part of Adult Swim's 2011 Singles Program. This version has El-P versing over Rush's "Tom Sawyer" (you know, "do-da-do-do-do, do-da-do-da-do-do) - legally, might I add.

The mix was a sample-based push put through Legitmix, which lets DJ's and others legally sample things, for whatever reason I haven't figured out.

New Mastodon video - Black Tongue

The second track off of Mastodon's upcoming September release The Hunter (the first one was released with Adult Swim's Singles Program a few weeks ago) isn't quite as insane as "Death Bound," but is still relatively speaking, fucking insane.

Friday Bears: Cerebral Ballzy is actually happening

Adult Swim has been promoting some fairly decent music lately, alongside their summer singles series and occasional free mixes (available on their site), they've been pushing through Cerebral Ballzy, a Brooklyn punk band akin to 80s era hardcore styles.

It may not be everyone's taste, but for those who do, fairly awesome. Listen to their debut album and watch the video for "Don't Tell Me What to Do" below, courtesy of Pigeons and Planes.

Tuesday Bears: New Tallest Man on Earth - Weather of a Killing Kind

It seems Kristian Mattson, better known as the Tallest Man on Earth, has leapfrogged pretty much every artist outside of Radiohead in the, "Makes Me Jump Out of Bed" category of music; pretty odd to say of a folk artist, in that respect.

Adult Swim premiered the sixth song in their 2011 Singles Program with Mattson's heavily anticipated "Weather of a Killing Kind." For fans aware of the Tallest Man on Earth sound, its yet another solid example of his no-doubt-about-it excellent craftsmanship. For those who haven't heard him yet, please, please get to it.

Tuesday Bears: New Mastodon video - Deathbound

A couple weeks ago, Adult Swim started their summer Singles Program with Ford & Lopatin and this video from Best Coast. Earlier today, the fourth selection in the singles series premiered, with Mastodon's "Deathbound," an insane take on Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood, the solar eclipse, and puppets.

Daniel Garcia's new video for Best Coast's "Gone Again" is the second in Adult Swim's Singles Program, running since early June to August, with new videos from Mastodon, the Tallest Man on Earth, and more.

Yeah, the slow-motion and army scenario makes it seem somewhat ominous, but once the Snacks masks go on, no one should be worried.
