Tonight at the Glasslands in Brooklyn, our dear friend Jennifer Brown of The Bomber Jacket (and friends) has put together a massive tribute to one of our generations most-cherished singer-songwriters, Elliott Smith.
The special date marks the ten-year anniversary of Smith's suicide in Echo Park, at the age of 34. For tonight's sold-out event will feature the likes of Cat Power, who will perform an entire solo set, Zachary Smith of DIIV and Sky Ferreira, The Low Anthem, Luke Temple, and plenty more (see poster above). Proceeds for the event, which is still accepting donations, will go to the Elliott Smith Memorial Fund, and will include a selection of goodies which can be seen here.
