Thursday Bears: Erykah Badu brings "Ankh" to Fallon

With some help from help from The Roots, Erykah Badu brought fans a first taste of her anticipated forthcoming album New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh), with "Window Seat."

The sequel to Badu's fourth studio album New Amerykah Part One (4th World War), was pushed back from its initial release date, February 23 to March 30 after several leak issues and to give the album time to catch some more steam. As for what separates part one from two, Badu said, "this album is the sister of the left side of my brain -- it is the right side. [Part one] was more socially political and my thought process was more analytical. This time there was't anything to be concerned with -- the album is more emotional and flowy and talks about feelings. It reminds [me] of the days of Baduizm -- this is just about beats and rhymes in a cipher," Badu explained in December 2009.

New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) is scheduled for release March 30 via Universal Motown Records.
