Thursday Bears: Raekwon on Fallon

Ex-Wu Tang member Raekwon followed up his landmark 1995 solo-debut Only Built 4 Cuban Linx with Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II, in one of the best albums of the year.

The NYC native performed "Catalina" from the aforementioned album alongside The Roots (featuring a nice portion from Black Thought) on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon stage, further proving that all Wu Tang members are probably better at what they do than anyone else in the rap game.

Wednesday Bears: New Washed Out Video - Belong

Earlier this week, director Blake Salzman premiered Washed Out's first official music video for their single "Belong."

The video features an 80's style jazzercise of three spandex and leotard-clad girls working out in front of Tetris-style backdrops before heading off to the party of the century, apparently.

Washed Out's debut Life of Leisure EP is available now for digital purchase via Mexican Summer.

Tuesday Bears: No Age on Surveillance

Pitchfork Media's new online show, Surveillance, featured a performance So. Cal. duo No Age.

The show, which can be viewed at Pitchfork.TV, features artists being performing live in a New York City hotel room performing live during this year's ATP Festival through a grainy surveillance camera.

No Age performed "You're a Target," a single I often mention as one of the best of 2009, from their recently released Losing Feeling EP, in a monochrome grey monitor. The episode was the second to final installment in the Surveillance series for 2009, which rounds out tomorrow with a performance from No Age's Randy Randall, Bradford Cox, and director Jim Jarmusch. In what exactly, I'm not sure.

Monday Bears: New Papercuts - White are the Waves

Quick shot here: San Francisco band Papercuts have released a follow-up single to last year's debut album You Can Have What You Want.

The new single, "White are the Waves," is more melodic take of the pop circles made in last year's album. The single is available on Gnomonsong now.

See. Told you it was quick.
