And We're Back

Ignore the nearly one and half week departure kids, Bears and Bullets is back and is ready to pick off where we once left off. We didn't leave off anywhere specific, so this should be easy for the both of us.

Anyway, I was the one of the unfortunately four out of 4000 bloggers that didn't attend SXSW this year (okay, I haven't ever), but thanks to everyone else's hard-sought efforts I get to reap the minimal benefits they left behind. In short, here's some of the best SXSW special downloads from Pop Tarts Suck Toasted.

King Khan & The Shrines - Sweet Tooth - MP3
Vivian Girls - Damaged - MP3
Vetiver - Down From Above - MP3
Harlem - Beautiful & Very Smart - MP3

Also, check out the site's list of the 10 Hardest Bands to Google (with more MP3's)

Royce at Captain Obvious released his monthly covers mixtape a week ago with a couple of gems from Sufjan Stevens, A.C. Newman, and The Kills brilliant cover of Patsy Cline's "Crazy." You can download all of the songs on the website.

I want to get a couple notable videos in before I go back to doing whatever it is I do when I'm not doing this. Here's a couple performances from The Handsom Furs, Neko Case, and Modest Mouse's television debut of "Satellite Skin" on Letterman last week.

The Handsome Furs - Thy Will Be Done (In-Studio)

Neko Case - People Got a Lot of Nerve

Modest Mouse - Satellite Skin (On Letterman)

And finally, a nice "no" compilation.
