Deerhunter In-Studio Again

Here's Part Two from Pitchfork.TV's In-The-Studio special with Deerhunter

Nothing too special to note other than the Fred Schneider reference.

New Video; Beck - Gamma Ray

A new BECKumentary has been made for those who wish to coin a phrase that probably should have been used for the past fourteen years. Anyway, Jess Holzworth at Myspace TV has done a video for Beck's single "Gamma Ray" off Modern Guilt.

For those who owned Beck's previous album, The Information, you got a side DVD of 15 homemade music videos for each of the album's songs. If you know what i'm talking about, you can pretty much expect the same from "Gamma Ray."

I guess Beck just likes costruction paper a lot.

Andrew Bird and Yo Yo Ma Combine Powers

Armit at Stereogum recently posted this string instrument duet between Andrew Bird and Musician God Yo Yo Ma. And yes, the MTV logo in the corner does seem to have prevalence - the video was made for MTV Iggy, MTV's Global Music Network.

I don't know why it's Iggy, as far as I can tell it has nothing to do with Pop.

Deerhunter In-Studio - Pitchfork TV

Today is a Bradford Cox day, marking the first and last time I will ever say such a thing. The week of Deerhunter's newest album, Microcastle/Weird Era Cont., is released, Pitchfork.TV has put up their In the Studio special from last April.

Listen to Deerhunter's In-Studio versions of "Agoraphobia," "Calvary Scars," and "Nothing Ever Happened."

Atlas Sound's Halloween Dance Party

Is Halloween not mundanely vague enough for the indie-culture? The answer can be made simply from Bradford Cox's two new October 31 alterna-tinge tunes released earlier today. Deerhunter's frontman has been releasing singles every other week or so on the band's blog from Cox's side-project, Atlas Sound.

If your answer to the original question is, "yes," then you were probably right. Here's Atlas Sound's stuff anyway.
