Shoot the Player, as this was my first encounter with them, adapted their style from Vincent Moon's Take Away Show. Their single-shot videos (in Australia instead of France) find an aesthetic of simplicity and beauty that is usually found, in the case of Moon, in city-landscapes, in wide open areas of sublime minimalism (check out the Andrew Bird video.)
The site's creators, Jonathan and Amelia, recently shot a video of Baltimore group Beach House on a beach in Sydney. Here's the video, with Beach House's new single, "Used to Be."
