City Calm Down video - Sense Of Self

From City Calm Down's upcoming Movements EP is the surprisingly catchy and captivating "Sense Of Self." The video stars a homeless junkie wanderer just having a grand ol' time despite her surrounds being less than lovable. Check it out below and grab the EP March 25 (currently out in Australia and New Zealand).

New Dum Dum Girls - Wish You Well (Demo)

There isn't much info on this brand new Dum Dum Girls demo "Wish You Well," other than a tiny description  from band member Dee Dee on the Soundcloud page:

"Hummed this a long time ago in bed ... lullaby with Sammy Nikdel on guitar."

Listen here.

New Small Black - Free At Dawn

Brooklyn's Small Black are back after a near three-year layoff from its debut LP New Chain. While the previous LP hitched on the growing chillwave push of the early 2010's, much like the band's fellow genre members its newest work has a definite matured tone.

"Free At Dawn," first single from the band's upcoming Jagjaguwar release Limits Of Desire, could work as the most emotional dig of (insert current movie with young people), with subtle, romantic vocals and rising rhythms throughout.

Check it out below and grab Limits Of Desire May 14.

New Akron/Family - Until The Morning

Akron/Family member Mike Seaton, upon revealing details of the band's newest LP, spoke candidly about the direction of the songs with SPIN.

"A lot of this contemporary pop stuff, this 1930s, panning for gold, bow tie stuff like the Lumineers, it's very heart on the sleeve," he says. "But they're telling someone else's story."

It's a direct jab at the current wave of Grammy-winning folk revivalists, whose biggest critique is their overwhelming profound vagueness. And with Akron/Family's new album Sub Verses, out April 30 via Dead Oceans, the veteran psych-folks have branded their mature sounds with realistic personal touches.

The first single from the upcoming album, "Until The Morning," distorts a trio of harmonies with sparse fuzzy guitar texture, but insists on the story rather than the conveyance. Check it out below.

New Big K.R.I.T. - Shine On (ft. Bun B)

Enlisting the help of fellow southern rap legend Bun B, continually rising Mississippi star Big K.R.I.T. offered up the brand new "Shine On." Full of blisteringly fast verses split over smooth sampling, the new track will be featured on K.R.I.T.'s upcoming King Remembered In Time mixtape.

Stream and/or download the new track below and watch out for King Remembered In Time in the near future.

SZA - Ice Moon

Little-known singer SZA, who released her lovely See SZA Run EP late last year, has a brand new offering in "Ice Moon." The track features some rather stunning production from Felix Snow and Patrick Lukens, who give SZA's voice a dutiful atmospheric touch.

Check it below.

Kendrick Lamar on Letterman

Never slowing down, Kendrick Lamar made on an appearance on last night's Late Show with David Letterman performing "Poetic Justice." Lamar performed the same track as his second song when he hit Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago, because of what one could only assume is the jazzy feel.

Check it below and grab good kid, m.A.A.d city if you haven't already.

More J Dilla mixes from Kutmah

Earlier this month, Brighton producer Kutmah offered up a tribute to the late-great and frequently mentioned J Dilla on the sixth anniversary of his death. While NTS fans may have seen several other tribute mixes added to the collection, they kinda fell under the wire here. And while the anniversary may have passed, anytime we have an opportunity to celebrate Dilla is a good time.

Stream Kutmah's two additional Dilla tribute mixes below.

Stream: Blac Hollywood - Kids With Crowns EP

Floating in from Vancouver is little-known hip-hop electro producer Blac Hollywood, and his brand new jubilant and spaced out five-track Kids With Crowns EP. The offering clings with hip-hop strides, but punches through on heavy static electric strength. Hollywood offers vocal renditions on a few tracks, but rather uses the rhythm as a means of conveyance to bring the overall theme home.

Stream and/or download the entire EP below.

New Ryan Hemsworth mix for FADER

No producer has been talked about more in recent months than Canada's Ryan Hemsworth. He's been dolling out mix after mix, with a sparse few singles here and there since late December, which culminates with this utterly un-ignorable mix for FADER.

Featured in the 47-minute collection are a few new cuts, including a sweet little Broken Social Scene remix Ryan completed during his high school days. Also included is a brand new solo track with the greatest title in modern music history; "(。◕‿◕。)." The latter comes in around the 39-minute mark.

Listen below and head to FADER for the in-depth tracklist.

New Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Sacrilege

Just premiering over at Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show is "Sacrilege," the first official single from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' long-awaited fourth studio album, Mosquito. It's a tamed take, with Nick Zinner's stuttered guitars frenzied in the back drop, while Karen O' flinches with her primeval yelps. Eventually, a chorus floats in, in case you were wondering what direction the band might be taking on the new album.

Check it below and grab the album April 16 via Interscope.

Low - So Blue

Minnesota's Low is offering the sobering and beautiful "So Blue" from its forthcoming The Invisible Way LP, which is out of Sub Pop next month.

The heady single follows the band's previously released tracks "Plastic Cup" and "Just Make It Stop," which will also be featured on the new album. Stream/download it below, and grab The Invisible Way March 19.

Bonus: Those who pre-order the album will receive a four track bonus disc, entitled The Visible Way. The extra disc will include three demos and an exclusive instrumental "Clarence What?"

New Still Corners - Berlin Lovers

London dream pop duo Still Corners, which released the dutifully memorable "Fireflies" 7" late last year, have another preview of their upcoming Sub Pop debut, Strange Pleasures.

"Berlin Lovers" is available to stream below, or download if you enter your email address.

New Dirty Projectors - There's A Fire

Dirty Projector's steady stream of excellent tracks continues today with the release of "Offspring Are Blank" B-Side "There's a Fire."

Dave Longstreth's staggered riffs star, once again, as the centerpiece of a song that could have just easily fit along with the rest of Swing Lo Magellan. Check it out below, and try to grab one of the limited remaining copies available left over at Domino.

Bonus: The band will be touring with The National this summer, which just announced plans to release a brand new album. Check the tour dates here, via Pigeons and Planes.
