New Ghostface Killah - The Rise Of The Ghostface Killah

Things deservedly come to a halt when certain acts release new material. I may be in the minority believing that whatever Ghostface touches usually turns into gold, but there's no denying that "The Rise Of The Ghostface" is a return to glory.

The track will be featured on his upcoming LP Twelve Reasons To Die, which is produced by fellow Wu member RZA (always a good sign). Check out the track below and watch out for the album later this year.

New AraabMuzik - For Professional Use Only mixtape

As promised, AraabMuzik dropped his 20-track mixtape For Professional Use Only today, which is free to stream and/or download below. It's full of the familiar MPC bangers we've all come to enjoy over the past year or so, so don't expect Abraham to miss a beat here.

Antwon - In Dark Denim mixtape

Antwon, who received some healthy buzz in the last few months with "Living Every Dream" and "Automatic," has released his brand new In Dark Denim mixtape.

The 11-track mix, featuring production help with some familiar names like Cities Aviv, comes for free via Greenhead Music, which released the tape over at The FADER. While the production on the tape may be a little light and atmospheric at times, Antwon's verses hit hard, bringing up some fairly apt B.I.G. comparisons.

Download it here (Soundcloud is temporarily down)

Julian Malone - 909

No label has been getting better press lately more than Stones Throw Records. The underground hip-hop label has another gem to offer in its February arsenal, in the form of Julian Malone. His newest cut, "909," comes his sure-to-be-excellent mixtape Diff.Rnt, and uses one of Clams Casino's more well-known A$AP Rocky beats featured in "Bass."

Check out the track below.

New Passion Pit video - Carried Away

Director duo Ben and Alex Brewer debuted their brand new video for Passion Pit's "Carried Away" earlier today. The second official single from last year's Gossamer, "Carried Away" stars lead-singer Michael Angelakos and his love interest (played by Sophia Bush - happy Valentine's Day, guys) in this constant "fight and make-up" video. Perfect for the couple that only has a small amount of things working out in between the crap.

East India Youth - Heaven, How Long

I might be a few days late to this brand new track from solo act East India Youth, but "Heaven, How Long" is an undeniably amazing track. The skewering backing synth continually rises through the cut, reaching an aching, almost primal peak before a shower of new wave percussion fill the atmosphere.

Pre-order East India Youth's upcoming Hostel EP here via Rough Trade, and check out the track below.

Baths and Cokiyu - Twinkle Way

Avant-garde Japanese pop artist Cokiyu has teamed up with Baths and fellow Japanese producers Madegg, LASTorder, and Geskia!, for her brand new, plush Haku EP.

Featured on the four-track EP, which is available now, is "Twinkle Way" - an adorning track showcasing Baths' minimalist production touch. Listen to it below, and grab the EP today via Anticon.

New Madlib mixtape - Madlib Medicine Show: Pill Jar

It's a heavy Madlib week here. Just yesterday we caught the Los Angeles producer's work with MED & BLU on "Burgundy Whip," but in case anyone wanted more, he debuted his Madlib Medicine Show: Pill Jar mixtape.

The eight-track mix from his Medicine Show series features the aforementioned MED, along with Guilty Simpson and Karriem Riggins. Stream/download the whole mix below.

New Strokes - All The Time

It seems the reckless synth overdrive of the Strokes previous single "One Way Trigger" has been forgiven (a little) with "All The Time." The newest single from the band actually conjures a little from their Is This It? and Room On Fire days, modeled in garage rock simplicity and a booming, catchy chorus.

Check out the new track below and grab Comedown Machine March 26 via RCA.

MED & BLU - Burgundy Whip (produced by Madlib)

From MED & BLU's upcoming The Burgundy EP is the glorious "Burgundy Whip," highlighted by the always-stellar production of Madlib. And for those wondering where that R&B sample is coming from, it's fellow Stones Throw alum Georgia Anne Muldrow.

Stream it below and grab the EP February 19.

New Pissed Jeans video - Bathroom Laughter

Everyone seems to be in love with Pennsylvania punks Pissed Jeans' (lots of "p's" there) fourth studio LP Honeys. So if you're feeling left out, here's the band's newest video from the album for "Bathroom Laughter." It's a disastrous look at late-night infomercials, which turns out to be one of the funniest videos of the young year.

Grab Honeys today via Sub Pop.

New AraabMuzik - Never Have To Worry

Three days before the release of his For Professional Use Only mixtape (which you'll be sure to find here), AraabMuzik released this heavy EDM spinner "Never Have To Worry." The track follows the previously released "The Prince Is Coming," which you can check out again below.

New Kurt Vile - Wakin On A Pretty Day

Philadelphia's native folk-rock son Kurt Vile is prepping the fifth solo album in his lengthy catalog, Wakin On A Pretty Daze. The new album, out April 9 via Matador, will be a 69-minute double-LP, featuring the almost title track "Wakin On A Pretty Day."

The single will have an accompanying video soon, but for now check out the "Making Of" video below that features the nine minute track, and future tour dates after the bump.

New J Dilla(!) - Anthem

With a seemingly endless back-catalog of music, the legendary J Dilla is still shilling out gold even after his death in 2006.

Later this year, PayJay Productions, Inc., which Dilla founded in 2001, will be distributing The Diary later this spring. The long-lost album is one of Dilla's few full vocal albums, featuring "Anthem." The track, which you can stream below, will be released as a 12" with "Trucks" as the B-Side.

The 12" is available for pre-sale right now over at Rapcats.com.

Frank Rabeyrolles - Always With The Same Birds

Fabien DendiĆ©vel's new scorched Earth video for Frank Rabeyrolles' aptly titled "Always With The Same Birds" is a dizzying, hazy view at the atmospheric track. The single will be featured on Rabeyrolles' upcoming  EP, due out in May via Wool Recordings. Check it below.
