James Blake at BBC's Maida Vale Studios

A few weeks ago, James Blake performed at BBC's Maida Vale Studios (the first I've heard of such studios), promoting a small batch of songs from the UK native's heavily anticipated full-length debut (due out February 7), including "The Wilhelm Scream."

For those of you who don't know, the actual Wilhelm scream is that noise you've heard at least three dozen times in movies when someone falls off of a ledge. Watch here if you still aren't sure.

Friday Bears: New Crystal Castles video - Not in Love (ft. Robert Smith)

One of my favorite songs of 2010, Crystal Castles' cover of "Not in Love," featuring Robert Smith received the video treatment from Video Marsh - a Canadian based group of video makers that previously worked with the likes of Caribou.

The actual video is as hazy and distant as you might expect from Crystal Castles and Mr. Smith.

Thursday Bears: Battle: Los Angeles Trailer

Amidst days of traveling and being distant from whatever's been going on (I played a lot of Wii) I have been somewhat lost. I know Smith Westerns released something new, but I'm pretty adamant about not caring about them.

So, whenever I run out of ideas, hopefully some trailer bails me out. I've been anticipating the release of Battle: Los Angeles, the new Aaron Eckhart-led Jonathan Liebesman directed sci-fi movie about aliens and their slightly stereotyped ambitions. The kid in me that still watches Independence Day whenever it's on can't help but be excited. Keep in mind though, Liebesman has directed some terrible movies in the past.

Shut up, watch the trailer.
