No, I Haven't Seen Watchmen Yet, but ...

... I'll be seeing it tomorrow. I did, however, catch the Saturday morning cartoon parody of it from Kitsune Noir. In the meantime I've got a couple more things before I send you guys off for the weekend.

St. Vincent's new album Actor will be released May 5 but you can grab the album's first single, from My Old Kentucky Blog, "The Strangers." Happy future Cinco de Mayo.

A couple new video's premiered today on Stereogum (including this nice little feud) from Mastodon and their new single "Divinations" off of their Crack the Skye album and Vetiver's "Everyday."

On Fallon two nights ago (which is getting pretty good, by the way) Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! debuted their a new song "Statues" which is also available for free on their website.

And a side note, some of the 2009 Lollapalooza line-up has been announced for anyone who is interested. (Hint - 1988).

Pile

There's still some snow on the ground but I figure I shouldn't be too much of an ass and leave you guys out for another day, so...

A couple more songs have leaked out of The Yeah Yeah Yeah's new album It's Blitz! (due out April 13th) via Pop Tarts Suck Toasted, whom I'm starting to believe I'm ripping off. So far, including the first single we've heard from their new album "Zero," it seems like the band is really shifting their sound away from the jolty garage blues of Fever to Tell, and I'm not sure that's something to look forward to. Hope I'm wrong.

Laudromatinee has a couple live in-house performances from Blitzen Trapper performing songs from their 2008 album Furr. You can head over to Laudromatinee to catch Blitzen Trapper's performances of "Black River Killer" and Tom Paxton's "The Last Thing On My Mind."

I'm becoming a bigger and bigger fan of Vivian Girls everyday now, or everyday since I've gone nuts with the lo-fi and the garage rock. Here's a couple performances of the band on Pitchfork.TV's A>D>D. You can check out the rest of the video's here.

Oh, and thank you to Kathryn Lamb of Los Angeles for sending me your copy of PJ Harvey's To Bring You My Love. Much appreciation.
