Much a like the other shitty (and I mean shitty) year end lists, fans are not finding Spin Magazine's Top 40 Album List too favorable. However, I (me) think otherwise. This is one of the few lists that I've read that I agree with more than 70% of, especially albums #5,#4, and#3.
Take a look for yourself.

New Single; Lovvers - No Romantics
This amazing little single crossed my path just in time before my Best of 2008 comes out. The English group, Lovvers (Myspace) have released a scratchy, buzz-driven single entitled "No Romantics" off of their Think EP (available via Wichita Recordings) and are currently on their European tour with Abe Vigoda (Myspace) and Mika Miko (Myspace).

Plus, there's a video from director Thomas Bush of the single.

Ahhhh ... I'm Busy
Look, I got a lot of stuff to do right now, and I can't take care of everyone. Here's A.C. Newman's (Myspace) newest single off of his upcoming album Get Guilty (due out January 26) entitled "Submarines of Stockholm."I'll give you more in the future, but it might be a little light for a few days.

Pavement's Slow Century
Pitchfork.TV has posted the beginning of Lance Bangs' documentary Slow Century: History Lesson 1989-1999 about the beginning, rise, and fall of 1990's Indie-rock icons Pavement, in celebration of the group's upcoming re-release of their Brighten the Corners: Deluxe Edition (available on Matador) next week.
Back Again... Samberg's Newest Video
Andy Samberg, one of my favorite cast members on Saturday Night Live, has made another Digital Short that's making its rounds. Like his old, "Dick in a Box" that the ladies fell in love with, Justin Timberlake makes a small cameo (along with Molly Simms) in the new "Jizz in my Pants." Haha, yeah, I get it, semen, blah blah. Whatever, just watch the video jackass, stop giggling.
